Additional tools and better layout controls for broadcasts

Additional tools and better layout controls for broadcasts

Live creators are now empowered with smart streaming recommendations, access to Workplace technical specifications, and tools to test their live stream before they go live, so they can reduce the risk of issues during their live stream. Please note, this is only available when using external software or hardware to stream a live event on Workplace. We’re also improving the experience by allowing users to switch between grid view and speaker view for live broadcasts with 2 or more participants. Previously, this was only available for rooms with 3 or more participants.

Add images anywhere within a post

With inline images, post creators can now insert images like photos, illustrations or charts anywhere within a post. Prior to this, images could only be added or attached at the end of a post. Visit the help center to learn more about adding images and videos to your Workplace post..
Set group name translations in Workplace

Set group name translations in Workplace

When adding group names, group admins can now set different names and descriptions for different languages. These will then auto-populate for people in their chosen languages, allowing them to find relevant groups more easily. Group admins can add, edit or delete group name translations on iOS and the desktop web version of Workplace. Translations will display on all desktop and mobile experiences.
Knowledge Library improvements

Knowledge Library improvements

This update brings you two improvements that will make sharing official knowledge and getting recommendations of content to create in the Knowledge Library easier.
  1. Knowledge Library admins can now see a list of commonly created knowledge categories to help inspire content for their own organization by selecting Category ideas from the Create menu in the Knowledge Library. This is available on the desktop web version of Workplace.
  2. We’ve made improvements to the Knowledge Library to make the sharing of official knowledge easier. Knowledge Library admins and category editors can now create a custom, memorable URL for Knowledge Library categories. They can also choose to send an email notification to users invited to read or edit a category. Editing custom URLs and sending notifications can only be done on the desktop web version of Workplace. Improvements to Calendar Invites

Improvements to Calendar Invites

We have introduced several improvements to calendar invitations for events. These make key information more prominent, and reduce the number of emails that invitees receive. From now on, people won’t get emails for minor event changes (for example, to the event cover photo or description), while still getting updates for event date and time changes. We’ve also grouped recurring custom events into one invitation, instead of sending one email for each individual event. Learn more about how to Organize virtual events that rock.
Reject all access requests at once [Admins only]

Reject all access requests at once [Admins only]

We’re making it easier for admins to manage access to their Workplace by adding a new button in the Admin Panel. Workplace admins can now reject all access requests at once, where previously they had to reject them individually.
